Gara feroviară a fost construită în stil clasicizant, după planurile arhitectului A. D. Serres, în perioada 1878-1886.
Construcţia de plan dreptunghiular, are parter, acoperiş-terasă, cupolă mediană şi învelitoare din ţiglă glazurată policromă.
Pe peron sunt colonete din fontă şi două pergole originare. Spre stradă, este un vas de majolică. În dreapta gării este o clădire anexă, de plan dreptunghiular, în stil clasicizant, cu două niveluri.
Gara, aflată în proprietatea Ministerului Transporturilor, Infrastructurii şi Comunicaţiilor, este într-o stare medie de degradare. Clădirea anexă necesită lucrări de consolidare şi restaurare.

The railway station is built in a classicizing style, following the design of architect A. D. Serres, during the 1878-1886 period.
The rectangular plan construction consists of a ground floor, terrace roof, and a median dome with a short drum and glazed polychrome roof tiles bearing a geometric decoration.
Alongside the platform are cast iron demi-columns and two original pergolas. A majolica vase is placed centrally towards the street.
On the right hand side of the railway station there is a rectangular annexe, constructed in a classicizing style, composed of two levels. The railway station is the property of the Ministry of Transport, Infrastructure and Communication, and is characterized by a medium state of degradation. The annexe requires consolidation and restoration works.
